Using Social Media to Strengthen MSPs

The popularity of social media has skyrocketed in recent decades and has become a focus of educational researchers and evaluators. In fact, recent posts on MSPnet discussion forums have focused on Twitter and education blogs (http://mspnet.orgforums). These tools can serve important purposes for educational organizations such as strengthening relationships between stakeholders, encouraging conversations and academic interactions, and disseminating research. Formal study of how MSPs can capitalize on the power of social media has not, however, been extensive. This session is the first of a pair of webinars designed to examine social media best practices and how they complement the goals and practices of MSPs. The sessions will also examine strategies for incorporating social media information and data into the development and evaluation of MSP projects.
